I get it, I hate most cops too, but pestering them and trying to aggravate them is just plain retarded. Also, you said they would be going to jail? They're fucking cops, they're doing their jobs. For riot control the worst that'll get used is rubbed slugs, they hurt like a bitch but won't do anything more than leave a bruise. You've seen how "actual riots" go I assume, burning, destruction, looting etc. They are protecting the interests of the people by preventing this from turning into a riot. You can have peaceful protests without that kind of open aggression and hostility, this was obviously escalating.
