"Hooked On The Memory Of You" (written by Neil Diamond) - performed by NEIL DIAMOND duet with KIM CARNES. This song peaked #23 Adult Contemporary charts (04/04/1992).

"I've stayed away from (the duets) it because I thought it would always be compared to my duet with Barbra. But Kim was in the studio, we didn't have anything planned. She's a terrific girl. I've always loved the way she sings and she was there. I said "Kim I haven't done a duet since Barbra. Will you please sing with me for a half hour or an hour?" She was willing to do it and we recorded two or three songs that we really liked. One of which we have on the album. So now maybe I have broken that fear of duets that came after You Don't Bring Me Flowers."

  • there was a small window where this song saw little airtime on the radio in 1992, but this song has stayed with me since. I had moved away during high school and this song reminded of the girl I was crazy about at that time. She is long gone from my life, but this song never lets me forget her. Hi Sarah B.

  • I can't begin to explain how special this song is to me. I've been in love with someone I was with 17 years ago I've been listening to this song for over a decade. We've recently got back in touch and it's amazing, maybe a fairy tale can come true after all.

  • Very beautifull song, it is more one that belongs love world, apart of us!

  • These days won't fade but how do we bring them back by inspiring our children to remember the values in relationship, life and love.

  • What has happened to music these days, you would never hear a great song like this in this day and age.

  • So touching video!!! Thank you for sharing one of the best songs of Neil. I adore him!

  • there's two versions of this--there's this one with kim (bette davis eyes) and there's another longer version (3:53) on the '88 Album These Are The Best Days of Our Lives. IT's also on '96's IN My Lifetime...the longer one I mean.

  • #23 on the charts just shows that people have lost their appreciation for good music these days.

  • No tag's on me ! I asked ,and looked searched for it, and it was Midnight who gave it to us ! He put it here..........all hail him from where he is ...........and sharing ! Thank's Midnight from Mick........

  • Its a pity this song never got popular. Its surely one of his best.
