Great pick, Nancy. His work with Sonny Terry is remarkable too. So sad these men get lost over the years. I discovered him while in the University many years ago and admired his guitar style so much I HAD to buy a Martin D-18 also.

When I listen to this tune my head rolls from side to side opposite my shoulders.....this tune is the berries (ripe and red) in summer!

Blues from the soul

I agree completely. Switch it up and spice it, when you play it sign it with your moves. Some people are fairly close minded...ahem. I understand the "purist" mindset however it doesn't always have to be that way. Everything being reinterpreted, added to and varied is the nature of the blues and how it evolved from root beats and chants. If you didn't have that the blues would get stagnant and die, thankfully though there are great artists out there keeping it new and fresh.
