But the vocals are okay, removing the background (it's a kind of annoying, and you can't listen to the real rythm) and it'd be good

hooverphonic adds an etheric feel - greater sophistication away from the more basic versions of old rock and pop... not to mention alot more instruments and sound effects... more melancholy and depressive is this one as well... which works - i find the video bothersome, confining and not the strange effect i wanted

@missurunha1 i know the bias u speak of but this clearly is not it for me... i'm convinced hooverphonic nailed it better than anyone so far...

i really wasn't sure if it was ray davies, was some mention of another... so ray wrote it but the kinks didn't publish it - they might not even have put it to song first - definitely didn't put it on wax first... ok, thanks for brian matthews explanation...

I do preffer that version =D, idk why, i think the 'better one' is almost aways the one you've listened first..

Brian Matthews is the BBC guy talking in the original version, he removed his voice (he sais something like 'And now, the kinks blablabla' in the begining.
