From the set 'Thirteen Tolkien Songs for Children's Voices'. The words are from 'The Two Towers' (Vol.II of 'The Lord of the Rings), p.118. The poem includes the words: 'Galadriel! Galadriel!/ Clear is the water of your well;/ White is the star in your white hand;/ Unmarred, unstained is leaf and land...'
The pictures are of Wytham Woods near Oxford. They were mostly taken in spring, and the flowers in several of the photos are bluebells.
The two 'voices' form a canon at the unison, two bars apart, in verses 2 and 4. This is easier to hear in verse 4, where the two voices are doubled by the first and second violins respectively.
