How it once was. Video buffs like me might be interested to see what I think is a 405 orthicon tube picture. Does anyone know what the Beeb was using then? The edges are nice and sharp, and sparkley bits get black shimmering. And there's some weird grays in the audience. Not much sign of 405-to-625 pixilation as I've seen on another 1969 TOTP video.
I would like to know more. It could be a Plumbicon tube? The audio is talked over at the start and end so I have moulded the ends over with another recording. Can you spot the join? I also got rid of the colour TOTP2 added because it was a bit distracting.
I'm told "they are EMI-203 Cameras to recorded TOTP in the Early days of 405 Line. Then switched to the famous EMI-2001"
.. And The Byrds - Fantastic!
