  • At least in gymnastics. The artistry and beauty is been destroyed by a Code that is all about power and flash. I say gymnastics died when the "10" was removed.

  • yes, their cinematography is so different. Still, for any gymnastics fan, this is something special.

  • @Kulpa71 ooops! I meant 'Mitrofanov', my Russian alphabet is rusty.

  • @gymnastjay Hi. I think the music is a version of Prelude in E minor by Chopin. The credits say that the musical director is N. Mirofanov, but I don't know if he arranged that version with hammond organ and orchestra. I also enjoyed the music!

  • Piano's out of tune.

  • This documentary is amazing!! The common life of a great champion.

What is the name of the coach?

  • @ralucagymnast

she competed it in the 1983 world championships....

  • I think this is from 1985: she was competing her Yurchenko vault in 1985, but definitely not before 1985. She would have been 18 years old in this video.

  • This is really great! What a cool look behind the scenes into the Soviet dynasty. This is how you train champions - it's not glamorous and it's a lot of hard work. Plus the music in this thing is so other-worldly - perfect for the documentary. Like sombody said, it's like a 70s horror film. Or like the old TV show Outer Limits.
