what are the benefits of power chord ?

Usually works better with a lot of distortion compared to open string chords that have the 3rd interval. An amp that's cranked up usually can produce a that kind of chord sound clearly.

John, your videos ruin my youtube surfing schedule. I was gonna watch all this other guitar vids, but always end up using all my time watching your vids instead, because they are the BEST!

Thank you. Not trying to be the best but just trying to be the best I can be. My first real teacher that I connected with told me I should be proud of the music that comes out of America; Jazz, Blues, Rock n' Roll, etc. We should all feel proud and show respect to the fathers of this music.
