God speaks to His people through His prophet Jeremiah and warns them of provoking Him to wrath by adopting the evil ways of the heathen nations around them. His people refuse the warnings of His prophets and receive destruction as their reward of disobedience. It is written "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." This will never change. May God bless you with understanding and ears to hear the truth. Amen.
No difference at all. The Lord condemns "the way of the heathen." He commands His people to not learn their ways. The spirit of covetousness is operating in the pagan holyday called "Christmas" and covetousness is idolatry (Eph 5:5.) "Rebellion is as witchcraft and stubborness as idolatry." (1 Sam 15:23) Disobedience to God's commandments is rebellion. Continuing in rebellion, refusing to repent, is stubborness. There is no way out of this for those who insist upon rejecting the Word of God.

at Christmas the tree is a decoration, though it's obviously unecessary-nobody is WORSHIPPING it,(like the saints and the 'queen of heaven'), quite a difference!
