18 months from planting to fruit - but if you live where you have to take it indoors over the winter (cannot take freezing temperatures). You can replant the bulb next season and sometimes by the end of the 2nd year, but sometimes it takes 3 years in Arkansas.

Suckers produce little fruit or no fruit at all. Thats why they are called suckers. If it does produce fruit it is of low quality and like he said it only produces once.

no not true, every one says it sucks from the plant i have a dwarf cavendish and it has the main stem and 3 so called suckers,and all 4 produced last year i had about 200 bananas soo if u take good care of ur plants they will produce!!!!

how do you get a banana tree to grow from the sucker herb plant??

dude i was given one just like that a month ago and i was wondering how long does it take one to bear fruit if its only about 6 inches high right now??? anyone care to tell me??

well i dont know i think its about 1-2year but after it dies after bearing fruits. but my grandpa told me it could take only 6months to bear fruit
