Short version-- the criminals can poison the dogs or shoot the dogs with BB guns to drive them away. They took hostages at first house, used them to take hostages at other houses. They had watched the property for maybe a month. Use solid doors. My thought:
Maybe have everybody wear silent alarm (on their wrist?) at all times. Have a way to alert everyone at once.
The greatest criminal is the government. You are more likely to be stolen from, robbed, or sent to die for the government (look at the last great depression). The way to prevent it and stop it from happening it to promote freedom in politics.
How large was the attacking force? What time of day are we talking? In general from what you know happens in Argentina is there a trend thats noticeable? I thought I read a story on your blog in the past that mentioned the perps spending days at a location
Without being to specific I think its safe to assume in this case here we're talkin 6 armed adults getting overun pretty easily. A wake up call to everyone indeed.
Thanks Ferfal for the information. It's so true that we can't be in a position to watch our properties at all times and criminals can take advanrage of that.
Ferfal, it was great to meet you at the Self Reliance expo in Utah, and thanks for mentioning our site on this video. I found this video through survivalblog. Glad to be able to talk about your work in person, and hope to see you again next year.
Great video FerFal ;-). I have a crime prevention meeting tonight at 7pm. Most of my neighbours are clueless and seem to adopt this 'if i don't hurt anyone, nobody will hurt me' mentality... Until someone just jacked a couple returning from the store... They hid in the bushes, jumped out and took the wife hostage at gunpoint then made the husband unlock everything... Thankfully nobody was hurt beyond nerves and a little roughed up, but i spoke to the guy and said " now do you get why my wif
Wow, thanx for the advance heads up on what is going on there.
This type of crime, home invasion, is what likely will be spreading to a country near you if it hasn't already done so...
