if i remember correctly the republican congress wanted to intervene in a family's medical condition when it came to terry schiavo.
in fact those lying bastards came back from a recess to vote to keep her alive. in addition, senator bill frist, a medical doctor, was able to diagnose her without ever examining or being in her presence.
