In late 90's during our annual college cultural festival there was a singing competition and out of some 30 contestants, three guys sang this same song. Out of that 2 guys were from Tamil Nadu who were studying in Bangalore. And believe it or not, all the 1st three prizes were for this song only That shows what a beautiful song this is!!
