I forgot how many good tunes they had beside the obvious into the valley, I was made up when I saw they were on T that year, but things like yankee dollar, and circus games. Me and my m8 saw them @ Eric's in L'Pool when we were nippers, Eric's had the amazing idea of putting a mattinee on of a saturday of the band that was going to be on that night, as Eric's being licenced, the Sunday morning after we were suprised to see richard jobson pop in the mates dad's paper shop n his way out of town.

The Skids and U2 are both amazing bands, I love all Skids albums, and I dont think that U2´s October and Boy are copies of The Skids. Early U2 and The skids have some similarities, but the sound is different.

These guys should have been bigger than U2.

I really believe U2 copied loads from the skids on the "boy" and "october" albums, "The Absolute Game" was an awesome album but never got the airplay it deserved.
