Alan Canon reads the conclusion of "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or, the Preservation of Favored Races in the Struggle for Life," 1st ed., Charles Robert Darwin, on the 150th anniversary of its November 24th, 1859 publication. Dr. Chandra the Kitty listens in and lends her phenotype for comparison to the reader/viewers. We are all cousins on this planet.

This reading is dedicated to youtube artist healthyaddict, AKA Ashley, whose videos finally inspired me to overcome my camera-shyness.

  • What I find truly remarkable, besides the powerful and salient wording of this final chapter, is how much Darwin understood it without the modern tools we have now, such as genetics.

  • Very nice. I had been listening to RabidApe's readings but he only got to the 1st part of chapter 4 and stopped. Can't find any other chapters until the last one here. Oh well, fine job! :D

  • Sorry it took me so long to approve this. Got backlogged with crap.

You read far clearer than I do. I stutter too much. :)

    Cute cat btw. ;)
