A 911 T US Coupe (1973) was restored by the specialists from Porsche Classic and raffled off among members of the Porsche Club of America afterwards. This video shows the open-heart surgery on the car's engine. More information on http://www.porsche.com/classic
The white 959 in the background at 3:20 makes me smile!

Excellent video, the engine reminds me of the Lycoming engine used in small prop powered airplanes. I agree with everyone else posting we need more videos like this. Can we see the entire rebuild process? Maybe a series of videos on this single story. FLD is on vacation this week...

so that seems like a TON of work to go into an engine from '73. I understand it is for a raffle, but how often is this type of build done? I mean, can I buy a restored engine like this from Porsche for a "shell car?"
