-2nd closest OB in Drew era, just behind the $24200 bid, ARP $24198, early in S36. Probably only a handful of single-digit-dollar OBs in the history of TPiR as well.
-2nd cheapest SC in the Drew era (home gym $2000-3000, camping equipment $1500-2500, Kawasaki jet ski $9398), one SC in December '07 (S36) was $13,282. Only other SC to be under 14k in the Drew era. Follows a trend starting on Jan. 12 from which cheap showcases (less than 15,000) make a semi-common appearance.
-First time a Toyota has been on the show since 1990.

  • I have always hated this aspect of this show. Someone bids and is 5,000 dollars short, and the other person is a couple bucks over. Who made the better bid? I've always found that totally unfair.

  • While sometimes the better bid does lose, the over rule adds another dimension to bidding - you want to be close (especially for the DSW), but if you overdo it, you're done. It's one of the best temptations in game shows

  • That Jet Ski showcase is probably the least expensive showcase in the post-Barker era.

  • I would agree...except I pointed out what the cheaper one was in the description. :P

  • Remember when showcases were $13,000? Yeah, Mike'd never stoop that low.

  • @azcade101 there was one girl who overbid by $1. Her bid was 12000, and the showcase was 11999....now that is painful

  • the sad thing...if he didnt change his mind i think he would have won -_-

  • That overbid was extremely painful.

  • It's makes for great TV – at the expense of the losing contestant, though – when someone overbids by just that much. That must have been painful. :(

  • what's scary is if he would have bid $8,000 he would of won o_O

  • So close and yet so far!

  • This is nothing like when someone bid $12,000 on their showcase, and the ARP was $11,999 and it was also a double overbid.

  • Lesson learned: Don't listen to your friends on a game show...
