I use Burt's Bees hand salve if my kitty scratches me. It's AMAZING. I also use Burt's Bees lemon-butter cuticle cream when I do a manicure. ;-) Thanks for this. ps: The white Spots are BRUISES, not calcium spots (My Mom ran her own salon for a long time--20 years; she's always told me that). Soaking before a manicure is best!

Sorry but you're wrong on two counts. Those white marks on your nail bed aren't from being too aggressive with a cuticle pusher and second your nails are not made out of calcium. Misinformation drives me crazy. Your nails and hair are composed of waste proteins. They are dead cells which is why cutting your hair and nails doesn't hurt.

I have trouble growing my nails that long, I have a nail biting problem since I was a lil kid. I do wish i had those nails tho!!!!
