Final Fantasy VII Hardcore: Play as Sephiroth in the flashback

In gjoerulv's hardcore mod for the PC version of FF7, the player can play as Sephiroth in the Nibelheim flashback.

The first part is the fight with the dragon. He now has 256,000 HP and very high stats. All of the attacks I use on him are defence ignoring.

The second part is a fight against a monster in the Nibelheim reactor that only appears in this mod.

The third part is Sephiroth's equipment and stats. I have modded them to my own liking.

When I watched the video after filming it, I saw that I had allowed a noticeable spelling error (according to the British rules of spelling). A virtual beer to whoever notices it, and any other mistakes.

Has Gjoerulv extended the 9999 damage limit?

AFAIK, the current version of gjoerulv's mod doesn't include a limit break patch.

However, it is compatible with the 9999 limit break for the PC version, and I'd recommend using them together.

Oh, you've finally seen this video after two years! :-P

Yeah, I thought it would be fun to make him as powerful as he can be. Because he's Sephiroth! It seems silly for him to be level 50 and use Bolt3.

Of course, this makes the scene into a walk in the park, but I'm sure you could find some way to make Sephiroth into a badass whilst keeping the challenge. Maybe the enemies could be made even stronger to match his increased power?

Has anyone noticed in gameplay and FF7 PSX version (this) Sephiroth is right handed, but then in the animes /movies forward he's left? You can tell especially in this battle he casts with his free back hand (left) as well when struck and finished in the dream state with Cloud at the crator.

And yes, I've noticed that Sephiroth's handedness seems a little unclear. Perhaps he's ambidextrous?

Did you edit that dragon in the flashback to be as strong as the ones in the materia caves or was that dragon supposed to be just as strong in an earlier version of the mod? And how come even Sephiroth's normal attack is defense ignoring? Also, of all playable characters, Sephiroth seems to need the lowest amount of EXP to reach lvl. 99...;)

He lacking quite a few animation, which makes sense; since he doesn't have cover materia, the developers didn't need to give him one.

Google "gjoerulv's hardcore mod" (with quotes) if you want to install it. But bevare, it's PC only.
