reported to MA Grady Flores by Emad Bornat
Friday, July 6th, 2007
Dear Friends,
Today, after villagers went to Friday prayer in the mosque, two hundred people gathered in Bil'in, Palestine to march to the gate of the separation fence (apartheid wall), protesting the expropriation of 60% of the village lands. Accompanying the villagers where about 40 Internationals and Israelis. Also 2 members of the Palestinian Authority joined the demonstration. They were met with much violence by the one hundred soldiers, who fired dumb dumb bullets, steel tipped rubber coated bullets and gas canisters which could kill a child. Many of the protesters where overcome with the gas today and three from Bil'in were injured by the steel tipped rubber bullets, one being taken to hospital.
