Columbia Power Technologies - Puget Sound Sea Trials

Columbia Power Technologies is commercializing a technology for wave energy conversion. Tank testing at 33rd and 15th scale were completed in the Tsunami Wave Basin and the Long Wave Flume at the Hinsdale Wave Research Lab at Oregon State University. These sea trials, in Puget Sound, began in February 2011 and will continue into Spring. Scaled tests representing physical experiments are used to validate performance models that enable commercial scale design certification.
