I grew up in dodge city,ks and spent 30 years in the state. I have lived in Oregon for less than 2 years, and I still am in sensory overload.

I have driven in all 48 states, in every weather possible and i thing the columbia river area is the nicest.

The first waterfall is Elowah Falls (I love this falls), actually. Not Starvation Creek Falls. But I love the Gorge!

No matter where i go, i'll never call anywhere else home. My Mom's whole side of the family lives in OK. and they've been trying to get her to move back for years. Finaly my uncle came out to visit (and see whats so great about it here). He's moveing here as soon as he can get a job set up here lol.

I agree, I've lived in white salmon WA. my whole life and i hear that all the time, but i never get tired of the scenery here.

EXACTLY!! I live in salem (was born here), but have been all over the country. All my friends that tell me "I hate Oregon, I'm going to get the hell out of here ASAP" I say go ahead, theres nothing out there excep flat baren nothingness. Sure every lanscape is beutiful in it's own way, but nothing like Oregon/Washington.
