'GOTAN' comes from writing backwards the name. So you can read as 'Tango'. This way of writing is called Lunfardo. A local language in 'Rio de la Plata' land.

@leosin03 It is not exactly "backwards", and it is not lunfardo. It is "al berre", which means "backwards", but syllabic and phonetically backwards, not literally backwards. Also, it is not a local language, but a form of slang. Greetings.
