Peoria Speedway late model Heat Race 2 Aug 28, 2010

Late model heat race August 28, 2010. Good race with the #22 Jeff Maher car taking the early lead with #32J Jason Jaggers running a strong second. #75 Brian Harris was charging hard along with the #25K Bill Kettering Jr, the T2 of Todd Bennett, #4 Mike Mullvain, #57 Matt McAdams and #83 Jim Carmody. About three-quarters through the heat #32J Jaggers driving down low drifts up exiting turn four and clips #22 Maher sending him into the front straight wall. #75 Harris and T2 Todd Bennett, with little room to manuever, collide in the aftermath. Luckily no one was hurt but there was definitely some tension on the track once Maher exited his car. The end result was #22 Jeff Maher and #75 Brian Harris were uable to continue. After the restart it was Todd Bennett taking over the lead with Jaggers holding on to second despite some very visible damage to his car. #T2 Todd Bennett went on to win the heat as well as the feature event and also the 2010 Peoria Speedway late model points championship.
