If there is a 'moderate' side to Islam, it is up to them to denounce the DAILY suicide bombs and attacks and show everyone else that Islam is not just about being a martyr. Until that happens, I feel entirely comfortable painting Islam with such a broad stroke. Considering the regimes in control in many predominately Muslim cultures I feel doubly comfortable.,

Well said. Political correctness has gone far too far - to level that is pathetic and irritating.

We're all grown ups these days. Give everyone their rights as starting point. I think we all understand "discrimination" now. Time to move a step forwards, and have honest discussions about all different groups and their social rights and wrongs. It's the only way we'll make progress as species.

All religions have fundie extremists, only Muslims/Jews get all blamed for theirs. There are far more Christian fundie extremists in N. America arguing for the death penalty for LGBTQ people than Muslim fundie extremists in N. America doing the same. Plus these Christian fundies have far more political/social/financial power & access to school students than Muslim fundies. Google "Christian death penalty homosexuals" to see for yourself. Get to know a variety of Muslims/Jews & learn some truth.

cont'd - Some Muslim countries don't have any laws against same-sex sex but social disapproval is strong, Even Muslim countries with the death penalty for same-sex sex require 4 witnesses, even then their sentence is almost never death but a prison term instead. Only Iran executes LGBTQ people. The country with the most anti-LGBTQ violence and murders, including those with the death penalty, is Christian Jamaica in spite of it not having the death penalty but a prison sentence for LGBTQ people.
