Lovely place, used the boat to get out to the dive boat & back, came in 3 times up the beach, hairy stuff, fantastic people & good food, be warned thogh, dont go in rhe rainy season, hotel leaks like a collander, water pouring through light fittings etc. plus brings out mozzies, caught dengue fever (from mozzie bites)& was off work 5 weeks, you should still go just pick your weeks wisely.

Hi there, there is a large cordened off area with yellow balls and rope so that you can swim if you like, it keeps the wind surfers, boats and kite surfers out. The hotel is really good, food good, book into the Asia restaurant, really good!! and whats better is drinks on tap whenever you want one and of course 5 bars for something stronger! Weather superb

You poor thing, we only ever go in December when its safe!!! Can give you a brilliant malaria preventer and not a tablet, its called Blue Turtle, its a spray that you put under your tongue, tastes like sherry, been used by troops in the rain forests etc, we have used it for years and its brilliant, no after affects or anything, go to blueturtlegroup.

Went back again early this month and they are still having to beach the boat, hilarious one day as they nearly crashed into their beach hut up the beach!!! Still a fabulous hotel to visit

ITs really cool the way that he beaches the boat, the beach is almost six foot higher than the sea, although it doesnt look it from the vid - thanks

maybe i will fly next summer there! but i dont now wich island is better sal or there where the riu karamboa is... can u maybe tell me it?

Hello again.
I have not been to Sal but believe it is more commercialised than Boa Vista where the Rio Karamboa is, at the minute it is the only big hotel on the island, its only 6 mins from the airport, nothing much to do on the island except for water sports but its an ideal relaxing holiday and the food and drink are good, we are going again at the end of November
