disclaimer; I haven't read every post. But, in general, there are always ignorant people on both sides of every issue (Hannity, Sharpton, O'Reilly, Wright).

I was using the holocaust to illustrate the broader concept being discussed; hatebegets hate. Who knows what this Jeremiah character has seen or endured, or what his father endured, etc.

I think as we move forward, more people will have more diverse friends and will formulate more balanced viewpoints, not those of their fathers.

This video is silly and neither glenn beck nor the indian guy have ever even been to a real black church, and I wouldn't doubt that they twisted words around to get their "prominent black pastor" sources to cave in or unknowingly agree..

Thank you. I need to be thoughtful about how I say this stuff in case I ever run for office. ;)
It is ironic the most hateful bigoted people I've ever interacted with are black. Like the KKK members of the deep south, they are pathetic and unwilling to consider anything beyond what their environment tells them they must think.
We must confront ignorant ideas whenever we hear them but I don't know if that level of indoctrination is fixable.
I'm glad I could lite a fire in your mind.

"it is ironic the most hateful bigoted people I've ever interacted with are black."
Sir, if you met an elderly holocaust survivor and asked him about Hitler, he wouldn't exactly have nice things to say. My grandfather endured many ghastly, unspeakable horrors in his own country. Does that mean I feel that way? Absolutely not. But I understand.

"We must confront ignorant ideas"
Amen to that, brother. But I must wonder if you are as worldly as you challenge others to be.

RE: bigots.
I'm referring specifically to some of the people in this forum. I'm not an authority on holocaust survivors, but I have not heard them telling their children the world or even the Germans owe them. Ironically, in many cases the Germans actually confiscated homes, business and all other valuables. Abuse of Black people in America was awful. My concern is for how that hate and sense of entitlement is crippling Americans in the black community.

I know plenty. I know you blame other for the bad choices your ethnic group has made. Blaming the government for drug addiction in the Black community is like blaming the Mayor because you got fat eating Dairy Queen ice cream. As long as you avoid taking responsibility for your own actions, you'll never be free. Ask any recovering addict. You've got to own your mistakes baby.

History is filled with injustice on both small and catastrophic levels. Blacks in America are not the only people who have suffered. My ancestors and I have done nothing to you so if you take what I have earned isn't that equally as unjust as what happened to black people in America? It makes no sense to feel like you deserve what someone else earned.
