If you do it in a bigger vehicle make sure you have lockers aka good reverse traction up a hill cause those switch backs are killer. I did it at night from 10-12 pm then hit a cool bar in telluride man those girls are hot and crazy. GOtta love rental jeeps........might have died if i was in my k5 with a open rear diff

@RebelofMetal Yeah, I recently read an independent survey which concluded that three of the LEAST reliable vehicles made were Land Rovers, Jeeps and Mini Coopers.

Great vid but it still can't give it justice! Black bear is one awesome drive!

Been to the trails, hit em' harder, rode them longer, eh? So, where are your videos Mr. Bigshot?

I did it in a '94 S-10 Blazer 2-door with V-6 and automatic trans. A piece of cake! Didn't have to 3-point ANY of the corners. Just drove around them. Great turning radius.

Great video. I have done Imogene Pass many times and is a great trip. Black Bear is on my list for future visits.

Did this in a DATSUN 4wd pu conversion w/wife, 2 dogs & camping gear, and then about 25 yrs later w our son. What a kick in the butt! This vid shows the "road" well. I drank a bomber when our son & I got to Telluride. Would do it again in a heartbeat - the most incredible beauty ever.
