Mary Jo Mauro of DreamTellerFilms interviewed internationally reknowned DJ, Moby, at midnight before he began playing music at The Church venue in downtown Denver during the Democatic National Convention. He was in town to help raise money for Barack Obama and the DNC. This interview originally broadcast on KBDI Channel 12 as part of the "Snapshots From The DNC" series. Photographed and edited by Barbara Jabaily.
I hate the church. I will never attend another event there as long as I live- It could be one of the nicest clubs venues in Denver but instead the bouncers are nazis and have a complete chip on their shoulder when it comes to ravers. Most of the dj's they bring in are over rated trance Dj's who all spin the same boring cliche tracks. The crowd is mostly drunk frat types or wannabe goths/ club kids. No unity . No vibe. Just high covers and bad vibes. The music takes a back seat to the drinkin

Don't think moby alienates that many fans by speaking his mind. His republican fanbase is probably quite small to begin with, him being a peace loving vegan to begin with :) Keep doing what you're doing, moby. You are inspirational :)

Sighs, I so love Mo...That is one of my favorite Night Clubs that I use to go to often when I lived in Denver and Aurora, smiles. @>-->--

i'm glad there are musicians out there willing to speak up about what they believe, even though they risk alienating some fans. it's too bad more bands/musicians don't take a stance
