The title says it all "What Really Is Important". What now follows is just irrelevant legal mumbo-jumbo. :)
....
I did not create the audio for this video. You might noticed the British accent of the guy speaking. I was born in Germany and have a German accent :).

I found this audio file on my hard disk and thought that it would be a great idea to make a video out of it. I didn't remember at first where I got the MP3 file from, but now I found another version of the MP3 with the ID3 meta data still intact :).

Audio credits have to go to: Alan Stewart and Andrew Winter from the The Marketer's Podcast at http://www.themarketerspodcast.com/, episode 33 from 2006. The description/subtitle states: "Please pass on this gentle reminder.", so I guess they won't have a problem with the use in my video.

  • Love the video, and the message it contains. Glad to see someone took the time and effort to put it into spoken words, for the benefit of those among the 70% of people who can understand spoken english, at least. One thing I'd like to mention though: The narrator isn't british, he's australian; and you'll find that his attitude towards this social inequality is very common among us aussies. :)

  • love this.....!

  • Everytime if I am sad or depressed or angry or ....... I watch this viodeo!!!! It reminds me in how many ways I am blessed. It's not about statistics. It's about humanity and free your mind!!!!!!!!!! So thank you!!!!!!!!!! Vielen lieben Dank!!!!!!!!;-)

  • @2lovebeings I don't actually understand what your point is I'm afraid. I'm pointing the out the logical fallacies in your reasoning. Which seems to be - "if someone has made an effort then don't criticise" - which doesn't make sense. I'm not angry at all, I'm just asking you to explain yourself.

  • @bsjunior Woah! Lot of anger going on there!Personally I think the graphics illustrate the statstics very well- you said frknstn made a good point though it shows a complete misunderstanding of the statistics presented so I apologise if I infered that you didn't. If you don't fully understand the problem no amount of righteous indignation is going to help you but that is my perspective no need to shoot logical fallacies in all directions, (Hitler?). Your comment was in the public domain too:) I

  • @2lovebeings who said I don't understand statistics? I understand statistics perfectly well thank you. However, statistics are often very misleading, especially if the are presented flatly without proper context. As for finding fault in someone else's efforts, are you implying that all effort is equally deserving of praise? perhaps I should congratulate Hitler on his "efforts"? Effort without proper understanding is more damaging than helpful. It's not a good video...sorry to the creator.

  • @bsjunior It's not my video, I just get annoyed when people find fault when somebody makes an effort , just because you can't understand statistics does not mean other people don't.

  • @2lovebeings When you release something into the public domain you make it open to criticism. that's part of the process, critique is useful in terms of creating educational debate. don't take it personally. as for me, perhaps you could tell which software you use to create your video. I'd very much like to start contributing to this medium. thanks
