(Cont'd) It was the moment I realized that people didn't accept me at all. That even though they were nice to me, and never said a word to my face, that deep down they hated me simply because I was different. I'd been bullied my entire life for being overweight- beaten, pushed down stairs, spat on, sexually assaulted, and worse- all before high school. So coming out was a huge risk for me. If I'd had Glee back then, it would have saved me the depression and heart ache. GLEEk for Life! <3

I adore you Chris! Kurt and Lauren (Zizes) are like the two halves of my soul. I was openly "out" in high school as well, and a bit overweight. I remember spending one of the many dances I attended sitting alone, in a corner, with two of my close friends standing next to me insisting that we not be seen together anymore because they had been harassed and accused of being gay. Eventually, they got over it, but I'll never forget that moment. It was the moment I stopped caring what others thought.
