On April 30th, 2011, the CBC celebrated their 75th birthday with the 1 Day project. The idea was for people all over Canada to take a video and help create a unique 24 hour portrait of Canada, from midnight to 11:59, coast to coast.
For the 1 Day project I took 12 seconds of video every hour on the hour for 12 hours: breakfast at Cantine, buying bagels at Fairmount Bagel, a workshop at Galerie Articule, a late lunch at Rumi, a stroll past the Tam-Tams at Parc Mont-Royal, a gallery crawl through the Belgo with a coffee stop in my studio, and a bus-ride up to Eastern Block to see the Maha Choir and a few art events.
A fun day!
