Dog in Truck Bed

This pisses me off. Unsecured dog in a truck bed on the 405 North in California. Look at the size of the cab, too! Totally enough room.

umm, my dogs ride on the tool box on thee back of the truck, and they love it, in fact we always leave the back window open and they rarley come inside, and yes i worry about them but i'm not going to force my dog inside, plus that dog looked like he was having alot of fun

Regardless of how much fun it looks like the dog is having, it boils down to safety. One sudden move, stop, turn, and that dog is DEAD. Or, hung by it's restraints. The safest place for the animal is in the cab, harnessed and secured in.  I'm sure the dog was having a ball, but it's just not safe. Just because an accident hasn't happened yet with your dog, doesn't mean it won't. If you really love and care about them, you value their safety and health FIRST. Just like kids.

well i drive an 8 ton diesel so when your little doodle bug prius or whatever you drive pulls out in front of me i wont have to worry about the dogs falling off because i will go right over

Fabulous. I adore my dogs, and even though they are small breeds, if they were larger breeds, I would never have them loose in the bed like that.

Yep im sure it's happened before, I have a black lab an she's always in the cab with me.

wow what if he swerved to miss another car the dog would get creamed i'd never put my dog in the bed.
