The Isotope Guerrilla Cult Theatre Proudly Presents:

THE BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS

Americans have always wondered what the strange and eerie results might be of the hundreds of atomic tests that shattered the skyline over Yucca Flats, Nevada in the 40's and 50's... and thanks to low-rent director supreme Coleman Francis and B-movie star of the first magnitude Tor Johnson, they finally got their answer.

This 1961 thriller includes everything you could possibly want in a drive-in anti-classic: secret atomic testing, innocent victims, KGB agents armed to the teeth, bumbling police officers, nearly naked girls, and one hell of a creepy baddie. You're stomach will churn from the first geiger counter soundtracked necrophilliac love scene to the bunny-laden final act!

The glorious Tor Johnson can also be seen in Plan 9 From Outer Space, Carousel, and Abbott and Costello in the Foreign Legion.

The Isotope Guerrilla Cult Theatre features pubic domain trashy flicks from Hollywood's yesteryear for your viewing enjoyment. These films are undisputedly in the public domain in the USA, and in all known cases no underlying music or literary rights have been claimed. If any rights are disputed we will be happy to remove the film from our virtual cinema. If you like these movies look up the actors, directors, and musicans on-line and send them gift baskets, cool swag, and/or money. The Isotope doesn't want anything from you except your love.

  • ugh painfully boring

  • Flag on the moon..... how did it get there?

Also what's with the opening? It made no sense whatsoever. Was it taking place in the present and had a flashback to what happened to him? Was it an unrelated murder thrown in for no reason? I have no idea.

  • Epic.

  • 44:02 You scared me Beast!!!!!

  • acually... i think this may be worse then plan 9

plan 9 was just boring : \ at least this has a sort or plot

but then again i found manos and the hands of fate amusing :' )

  • So Tor Johnson was the beast from yucca flats? I thought my first wife was! Silly me...

  • I love the Cars, but the quality of the Film ( Pixels) is Even worse than the quality (Sense) of the film itself...

  • Push a button, things happen.

  • WHY IS TOR WALKING WhEN GUYS R SHOOTIN? START RUNNING!!!!!

  • Some critics have characterized it as one of the worst science fiction films of all time, and one of the all-time worst, even suggesting that it may be worse than Ed Wood's Plan 9 from Outer Space. (Wikipedia)

All time worst... then it worth watching till the end.

Well yeah I mean I get that, but considering the fact it has no continuity with the rest of the movie and with the lack of any real exposure there's really no need. Psycho had come out one year prior and tha showed more through suggestion, a body double, and shots of the back, and it was able to get away with it and show a scary scene. I'm not saying I expect Francis to match Hitchcock, but you'd think with the success of that, they'd take notes how to film a nude/death scene.
