Mr. Rodiguez is freaking awesome. He knew what Colbert would do.
-
He was in character lol. He trolled Congress, a feet we all wish to achieve.
-
HOw rude was he to ask him to leave... He had a right to be there as much as anyone else. He makes good points just puts it in a funny way.
-
They should have let him bring his studio audience, then there would have been more laughs.
-
The guy behind him to the left:
"...Don't laugh. Don't laugh. Don't laugh..."

Everyone asking him to leave, or saying his testimony was a waste of time, are totally incapable of seeing the forest for the trees. Believe it or not but he was making a REAL POINT.
I happen to disagree with him on some points, but I do agree that we need immigration reform. It's despicable for Congress to respond to him "go back to your show and do your thing, now let us do our thing"
He's only there because they haven't been doing ANY "thing".

We Americans are weird. Our soldiers chalk messages on bombs. Our political candidates appear on Saturday Night Live. We mock sex, religion, race, nationalities, ourselves, our icons...everything is up for laughs. And yet our system is at once adaptable, stable, progressive, productive, inclusive and above all free. Free enough that Colbert can go to the heart of power and indict the hypocrisy and fatuous nonsense of the present immigration policy with ridicule, the sharpest rebuke.
