  • Outstanding. Yes it sucks it cost money to tour here. But you can make millions if you get promoted right and have the right music. It does suck for new bands or bands who are not U2.

If Front wanted to really tour here, they would A. Make new fucking CD. and B. Have their label pay for it.

  • Ok now showing my age, but saw them back in the 80s when they were really ripping it up. and remember when they signed with Wax Trax when they really got it going in the US. But what Patrick said is true. they are both a visual and audio experience. Few bands can compare. If you ever see the Chemical Brothers live, you will know what it means to have a mind bending experience to the music.

Great interview. Have not seen them in a long time. Keep it going F242!!!

  • now that the dollar is worth nothing they should be able to come to america easilly once they transfer their euros to dollars.

  • Kik,

I was thinking "I hope I didnt make an error by missing "Pulse" in the US because I heard they may not return, and I would be excstatic to see them again. Closest I've come is the "Catch the Men" DVD and of course it's just not the same, though an excellent video.

I bet though that a lot of people who aren't fans are a bit confused. People either get 242 or they dont. No in betweens. One reason I love them, they refuse to sell out, and still truckin after all these yrs.

  • Same here Rip. I had heard of them, but never heard their muzik until Lollapalooza, and saw them twice after that. And like you, they made a huge fan of myself too. I agree about the live/headphone concept too. They just aren't background muzik, and when live and loud, they bring us to a whole different level. And in my opinion, though many try, no one has been able to compare - they are all their own and brilliant too.

  • I saw them at roskilde festival 2006 and they rocked the tent big time

on of the best gigs that year next was roger waters but thats a diffrent style of music but cool too

  • Very good interview with patrick, really smart technical guy.

  • Introduced to Front 242 live Lollapalooza 93',what an experience! Brilliant and unique manipulators of sounds, their music evokes bi polar like emotions. For me their sound was liberating, a cool powerfully different music experience. Glad they made their way to the states, even though it was a pain in their ass. Paid off I think, they picked up many fans like me. Seeing them live, or with headphones, is the best way to expericience Front 242.

  • very interesting, great insight on the culture of Germany and Europe trying to play here in the states. very helpful in understanding future problems with getting great bands over here. excellent piece of video.

  • I love this group, and damm..his command of English is excellent. He's speaks better English than some people I know. Plus, gotta give him mad props for the judicious use of the "F-bomb"
