It was weird that the 80s were only 9 years old when this movie came out in 1998 and probably only 7 or 8 years old when it was being filmed the previous year...yet they treated the decade like it was super old and got the whole thing so vastly wrong. In this 80s universe every guy dressed like Miami Vice, wore that stupid red Michael Jackson jacket and every woman was a Madonna wannabee. That was hardly reality. You'd expect this from a movie about the 80s in 2008, not 1998.
