The Westchester Arts Council Presents: Capturing the Moment

Capturing the Moment, a collaboration between the Mt. Vernon Public Library and the Westchester Arts Council, funded with a grant from Hitachi America Ltd, made it possible for Mt. Vernon students to learn about photography from Barry L. Mason, a professional photographer and artist. As part of the program, the students chronicled the people and neighborhoods of Mt. Vernon, New York during the summer of 2008 and mounted an exhibition of their photographs in the Rotunda Gallery of Mt. Vernon Public Library. Capturing the Moment was funded with support from Hitachi.
