it's so hilarious when he has to page-turn... the g major chord comes one century later! but still, it's heinrich...

How wonderful to find this performance. Like yesterday I remember hearing them perform this in Amsterdam, around 1990. Do you know where this recording was made and the date?
-
I saw him perform this at the Sydney Opera House, and I'd say from th of the audience, it blew everyone's socks off. He was in a lather of sweat by the finish.

yes, let me back this thought with the heart of every true musician I know

At this point of level just say you like ot or not.
Dont give advise to these kind of cellists...

it's definetly no music to make you happy.
but i stll think that it gives you many other feelings...
but sure it's a question of personal taste

Beautiful, deep and expressive music, but the interpretation is too intellectual, therefore, too flat, too formal, one-dimensional. He doesn#t really know what he plays. The beginning is way too romantic. The pianist is very good, though. Listen to Natalia Gutman#s interpretation, if you find it - there is a whole universe

thinking is good but the heart and a real story is better.... well its my personal view, I have no universal right opinion.... yes it is beautiful because its well interpreted. and there are nice harmonies but.....
Piano page turner... unknown. LMFAO.
