I just discovered a 16 mm film of "The Four Polks" in the attic - a 1942 movie of a 14 year old Lucy Ann Polk with her brothers and sister, playing and singing "Miss You". I love this "soundie" but have to admit that I had never heard of Lucy Ann Polk, who also plays pretty good vibraphone in the film! Through internet I came to this video - thanks for putting it on YouTube; what a great singer she became! Is anybody still in touch with her?

Someone wrote that this song has the melody of "Robbins Nest". Sorry, but that's

not true. They have a similar melodic rhythm in a few places but they are two different melodies. Check "Robbins Nest" and you'll see.

Glpmusic, you are are right, of course, about Robbin's Nest. Thank you for clearing up my confusion. I'm 78 years old, still keeping the jazz faith, but I forget some things here and there but I'll never forget that Bird still lives!
