The equation governing heat flow can be solved using Fourier series. This animation simulates a cooling rod. The rod is at the bottom, at the front is a graph of its temperature. In the background are the components of the Fourier series of the temperature.

  • A brief explanation is given in the description of the video. A more complete explanation was given to my students in the lectures on the topic. Primarily, this video was made for them. If it's useful to others also, then good. If not, then ignore it, and cut the foul language.
