To all those people who keep moaning about how much better it used to be when Tom Rush and other Sixties people were less ignored despite their obvious talent: stop it. popularity is a truck load of nothing and besides Tom Rush isn't dead. You can still go see him, support him. He's as good as ever!

i loved this song the first time i heard it too. i've seen tom a couple of times in concert and asked him each time if he planned to record it (i probably sent a couple of emails as well). I recently got an update from his website announcing the release of a new album in either feb or march. "What an Old Lover Knows" will be on the new album.

Finding that Tom will be in Toronto in May 2008 by checking his web site was a real thrill. I'm counting the days. I will beg him to perform "Mole's Moan" at that time - I have such memories of seeing him play that at the Mariposa Festival way back and how my jaw dropped at his use of harmonics on his guitar in that number. I wish someone would post a clip of him doing that instrumental piece.

Another good tip....I almost bought a Martin when I had the money many years ago when I got divorced...regretted it ever since......Who knows when the next opportunity will arrive!?!

I'm grateful to see this vintage footage. The first time I saw Tom I was 15 or 16 and that was a very long time ago. He's timeless and made a deep impression on me.....also kept me playing guitar for quite a few years.....maybe it's time to pick it up again. Thanks to you and Tom!

Always time to pick up the guitar! I did after putting it down for about 15 years,

Thanks for the encouragement...it's been more like 20+ for me. I've since come across an acoutic bass and have been patiently waiting for a friend to reglue it! At this rate, I'll probably get another uitar sooner!

I bought a new one a couple of years ago when I got back into it. I bought one that was more expensive than I deserved, and my playing has improve tremendously!
