La Campanella, also known as Etude No. 3. The original theme was written by Nicolo Paganini for violin; Liszt rewrote the theme for piano because he was known as the 'Paganini of piano'.

First time I've recorded myself playing. I initially recorded it for my piano teacher to send to her friend, but I ended up recording over and over to make it better for personal use.

I started this piece summer of '06 and believe I stopped working on it sometime in 2007.

I am 16.

I didn't realize my hands were so awkwardly masculine.

Enjoy.

Edit 2/4/09: I think I'm going to try putting up more videos because this one is pretty sad. I have not disappeared. I had a bad wrist injury last year and had to stop playing for a few months but now I'm BACK (and hopefully better.) I can play this piece technically much better now, but I don't have the endurance anymore since I stopped playing it. I went on to play Hungarian Rhapsody no. 6 by Liszt as well, and I think that's what did my wrist in. I've stopped playing that, too, and unfortunately don't have a video of it.

I'm working on random pieces now. I'm aiming to get my Performing/Teaching Diplomas either in the fall of this year or spring of the next.

I'm going to record more videos.

  • The human brain is something beautiful; it is thinking two songs at once and matching them together physically to produce this girl's work of art - just 16 years on this earth. Yes, there is a God.

  • I wish I had started playing the piano some earlier

  • @Dragona060 While I agree with you, please don't bring petty religious arguments into a video of someone playing the piano, and very well, I might add.

  • @JustinCaparas haha woops...

  • i think we all realize how hard the piece is. but if he has no sound and some notes are missing, then why does he bother playing it ?

If you were any bit intelligent, you would know that us "theists" are exactly the same as you, only actually believe in something.

  • @asdfasdfasdf444 Unless this is a man with female hands, I think it's a woman playing.
