hey joefoxxjan, this may be the wrong place to ask, but if I were to take a train from Narita airport to Yotsuya, will it be as cramped as this? >< bit worried cuz I'll be travelling alone for the first time.

Unlikely, unless it's during crush hour... :-)

In Sweden ppl that want to go aboard the train when it arrives hardly dont give any space for ppl that needs to go out. Its always a mess every morning and time consuming for traindrivers that needs to stick to their schedule. In Tokyo they are sure more polite and a lot smarter.

Yes, Japanese commuters are very polite and considerate, except in very rare cases where there's an accident or breakdown, and then the platforms get SO crowded, it's total mayhem and every person for himself. :-)

Its so nice to see how polite they are. They make a line to enter, then they let all the people who has to come out, until the finish, then they get in. So organized! In mexico City they don't care!!you have to do whatever it takes to get in...people coming in an out at the same time, it doesn't matter if you get their first, everybody will push, kick you whatever :S theres no respect. Sometimes they can kick you out! even if you were not going out in that particualr station...ah, its terrible.

You're right, it's pretty orderly getting on & off the trains. They actually have lines painted on the platform where you're supposed to line up. But walking along the platforms and actually inside the train cars can be total mayhem during crush hour....
Cheers,
Gary
p.s. I have a good friend from Hermosillo, Sonora...
