Odyssey has taken the two most important types of batteries and made them into one. Some batteries provide enormous cranking power while other, deep cycle reserve power and Odyssey Batteries both!

Odyssey achieved this ability by using flat plates with pure unused lead. Because pure lead can be made thinner it allows them to fit more of then inside the battery giving more plate surface area and more power, twice as much as conventional batteries. Their AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) design holds acid in place to prevent spills, even when installed on its side. And unlike conventional batteries, Odyssey Batteries can be stored for up to 2 years and still be returned to full power.

The batteries in our boats can really take a beating when trying to crank large motors, run several livewell pumps at the same time in addition to powering gps, sonar, radar, and stereo. This can cause traditional batteries to take an intense strain and not only need to be charged more often, but shorten the expected life of the battery. Now having the combination of a high power cranking and deep cycle battery allows us to only need a maximum of three batteries in our boats, which in the past our larger boats needed 4 in most cases.

Odyssey has taken batteries to a new high of power and reliability.
