yeah agreed piquet was there to make alonso look good ( as we saw with hamilton in mclaren lol) and now renault got groesjean who i think is not as good as di grassi who will make alonso look good

Everyone saying it will be Grosjean, as a number of well informed sources have said. Personally Briatore is holding back Alonso. They're far too close together, to Alonso's disadvantage. Okay the first few years at Renault, you saw it as well as I did, but the return to Renault has been disappointing. I hope to see him challenging Vettel, Hamilton in the future again. Although Vettel and Hamilton are improving. Hamilton has worked wonders in a shit car but I doubt that'll be enough for Spain GP.

In all seriousness, Alonso doesn't and never has had the outright pace people like Schumacher had. If Alonso is supposed to be a good car developer then the progress is hellishly slow at the moment. Alonso's doing an okay job at Renault, not spectacular. Piquet's in there to make him look good.
