My first video editing effort with moving images. I selected scenes from the brilliant Schubert film 'Notturno', and blended them with Schubert's 'Andante Sostenuto' from his Sonata in B flat D. 960. Despite the desperate and melancholic mood so typical for Schubert's final years, I hope you enjoy the video.

It's not from "Winterreise" at all. That is piano sonata D 960 and moving Andante Sostenuto- I believe it's played by Richter- not sure though!

The actor looks about twice as old as Schubert.

I have always had the utmost love for schubert, the only composer with enough talent to be Beethoven's only true successor, too bad he died before his time was up

The film is called "Notturo" and the TV serie was dubbed "Mit meinen heißen Tränen".
