if danger were a breath: a war story

this video was my thesis project at calarts. this is only excerpts from the video and installation/ performance in the gallery. the original video is 8min. it was my way of processing a pending war with iraq, which actually was declared the second day of the exhibit. war was to this point really unknown and mysterious to my generation, and it brought up fear, and grief and anger and surrealism and hoplessness and...sexual desire...just some way to take control in a fate that seems to be othewise molded by burocrats.

well, the video is designed to be projected...and when seen large.. the black flashing along with the heartbeat sound actually raises your pulse to add to a desired feeling of anxiety in the viewer..
