Seeing the stupidity of youtube comments, I can understand why mystics would want to hide esoteric knowledge from the public.

Most importantly HAVE FUN or you are just doing it wrong and completely lost. You don't need books or documentaries or ancient teachings, it's all within, simply quiet your mind and let it wash over you. The word Kabbalah, HQBLH, means that which is received. The reason cabala is "secret" is because nearly no one takes the jubilantly somber path of actually applying it to their lives, in it's essence it is a roadmap to personal perfection and eventually emanating God's glory to those around you.

Words can be so wrong, so wrong. Don't take what they say literally. God, heaven, etc. Are totally different than what you normally associate them with.

Abraham impregnated his slave, then dumped her and the baby out in the wilderness to fend for themselves because he was too much of a wimp to stand up to his wife (getting the slave pregnant was his wifes idea to begin with). @djzoneboro Also, you really shouldn't make the ironically ignorant assumption that no Kabbalist ever reads into science. On the contrary, most Kabbalists are very well informed and highly educated. Like I said, Kabbalah is about inner exploration, so science is unlikely. Remember, Kabbalists regard the Bible as a cryptic metaphor, so they didn't claim their work was meant to be scientific.

@djzoneboro The point of Kabbalah, ultimately is that even if we know a whole lot about God, we will never know everything. Also, Kabbalah isn't about "reading letters on paper", it's about direct mystical experience. The Zohar and other texts are just there to "strike a spark", so to speak. On top of that, Kabbalah says that each human has a spark of God's essence, so we are essentially exploring ourselves as much as God. Carl Jung considered it a precursor to psychology, and in a way it is.

They are pretending to understand god by reading letters on paper. I bet half these ignorant twats have not bothered to research scientifically in their lives.

On the contrary I’ve heard Einstein has read from the Kabbalah so maybe the book carries some scientific knowledge but even if you manage to decode I imagine very few readers would actually understand it.
