Not to mention, Forget about the strong military, we will be subjects of China. Without the Big Three the foundation of our high tech and tool and die, Steel and Metals Companies. Without the Big Three many of those companies would cease to exist.

So the US military would fade down to a sub standard force. The Big Three was the main reason we won World War II.

But in all fairness, Medical add nearly 2000 dollars per car, even Toyota don't have this cost. Then the Big Three has many more retire workers than others at this moment. Japan hasn't opened its borders as the United States has to a flood of imports.

Jaybee, Most of Detroit population shifted to the Suburbs with 4.3 million and cover Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, St.Clair, Lapeer, Washenaw and Monroe Counties. Unlike other cites Detroiters never rebuilt the City after the roits and never returned!

As to the industrial center, Its called Free Trade. Its one thing with Canada, But when a America makes 8-15 a hour and some guy in India or China make 50 cents a day and have no medical.... guess what?

Bill Bonds was all Detroit. Just like Detroit, he had rough edges but was all heart. He had virtually no bullshit underneath his suit and tie. Compare that to the plastic, careerist broadcasters who dominate the radio today.

Bill Bonds is a true Detroit legend and one of the Detroit TV greats. Bill, thank you, sir, for all your great contributions to Detroit.
